Padel in the USA - Report

The Padel Industry Report is a project developed by Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in collaboration with Padel 22. This 27-page report explored the rapid rise of Padel in the United States, analyzing how community building, celebrity involvement, digital content, and competitive leagues are fueling its growth. My role as a research analyst included supporting research, trend analysis, and content development, as well as conducting industry interviews and surveys to identify investment opportunities and media potential. Those findings shaped actionable PR and marketing recommendations for the sustainable expansion of the sport in the U.S.

This was one of my first major PR challenges. Because Padel had not yet fully emerged in the U.S. market, there was very limited existing research or strategic communication work to build from, so we developed the project almost entirely from the ground up. I overcame this by interviewing stakeholders across different time zones to capture a broad range of perspectives, and by collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to stay organized and detail-focused under tight deadlines. Through this experience, I strengthened my skills in industry research, interviewing, project management, collaborative reporting, and translating complex insights into accessible storytelling.
